Algonquin Provincial Park & Surrounding Areas

1. 2009 (Class A) - A man filmed a possible Bigfoot on the side of the access road to Algonquin Provincial Park's North Gate. The video captured a large, dark figure moving through the underbrush, prompting discussion among enthusiasts about its authenticity.

2. July 2020 (Class B) - Sasquatch howls were recorded in the Madawaska Valley, southeast of Algonquin Provincial Park. The chilling sounds were later analyzed by audio experts, adding to the ongoing interest in the area.

3. July 2009 (Class B) - An unusual thud and a possible whoop were heard in Algonquin Provincial Park, along with a pervasive feeling of being watched by several hikers. The encounter left them uneasy and curious about what might be lurking in the woods.

4. 1995 - A very loud, deep howl was heard at Aylen Lake in Algonquin Provincial Park, contributing to local lore about Sasquatch vocalizations.

Kenora Area

1. 2022-Present (Class A): Multiple sightings of two Bigfoot and tracks near Fort Hope in Northern Ontario, with a photograph of the creature and video of the tracks. - A witness reported seeing two large figures crossing the road near Fort Hope. The sighting happened during daylight, and the figures moved quickly into the surrounding bush.

2. 2009 (Class B) - Possible Bigfoot activity was reported when a creature allegedly stole a bear carcass from between tourist cabins in Sioux Narrows, with multiple summer workers observing several different events.

3. August 2006 (Class A) - A daylight sighting near tourist cabins close to Sioux Narrows led to increased interest and investigation in the area, with witnesses describing the creature's large size and dark fur.

4. June 1998 (Class A) - A fisherman had a morning sighting while boating up a waterway near Sioux Lookout, claiming to have spotted a large, upright figure on the shore.

5. 2013 - A couple camping in the Kenora area heard distinct vocalizations near their campsite, heightening their awareness of possible Sasquatch activity nearby.

7. 173-87-SW Kenora District, near Sioux Lookout-Feb. 20, 1987-Trapper comes face to face with a sasquatch while out on his trap line.

8. 2008- Grassy Narrows. Several First Nations Members witnessed a tall, skinny Bigfoot while out picking blueberries “It looked about eight feet tall and it was upright. They claim to have found a massive six-toed footprint near a beaver pond. Fobister made a plaster cast of the print and has shipped it off to have it examined.

9. 2006 The Snelgrove Lake Bigfoot encounter (2006) involved eerie sounds, rock throwing, and large footprints at a remote Ontario cabin. Featured on the show MonsterQuest, the case remains famous for its possible Bigfoot activity, with follow-up expeditions reporting similar strange events.

10. 1996, firefighters battling a blaze near Lac Seul, north of Sioux Lookout, Ontario, found a large footprint in the remote boreal forest. The print, discovered in dry mud, was photographed with a tape measure for scale. The sighting occurred about 1 mile north of kilometer 74 on Vermillion River Road.

11. 1993-94, a 14-year-old grouse hunter near Red Gut Bay, Rainy Lake, Ontario, encountered a massive, man-like creature, likely a Bigfoot. The creature, standing taller than any bear, crossed the trail in a few steps. Terrified, the hunter fled, shaken by the sight, and avoided the area afterward.

12. 132-12 - Longlac, Ontario - Hunters find many tracks in mud & sand by the edge of the lake, as well as feces. Witness collects feces samples. Feces confirmed as sasquatch, by footprints position. Photos tracks.

Sudbury Area

1. 2009 (Class B) - A family filmed what appeared to be a Bigfoot trackway during winter just south of Sudbury, capturing the prints in the snow for further analysis.

2. September 2015 - A creature was seen near a watering hole in Capreol, Sudbury District, reported by a group of local hikers who described it as large and elusive.

3. 2015 - Witnesses reported hearing screams and seeing a figure running in Killarney, Sudbury District, stirring curiosity and concern among residents.

7. 174-00-Hanmer, NE Sudbury District-Sep 2000-Witness saw an 8 to 9ft creature in woods while camping with 5 companions

8 175-11-NW of Hanmer-Sep 2011-Two encounters while camping in a remote location.

9. 157-13-Sudbury District, Lively-April 2013-Witness saw a large black creature in the woods from a fourth-floor balcony.

10. 146-13-Sudbury District, on Hwy 6 at Stratton Lake, June 24, 2013-As she's driving southbound at 11 pm, driver age 25, sees a black, 10ft tall, (est. 300 lb) sasquatch run along, and across the road, then jump across the ditch, into the bush at the side of the road. Trail cams were set. They will be collected and checked after the smelt run.

11. 2008-Present (Class B) Family at a remote cabin have continued interactions with what they believe is a group of Bigfoot in the Mowat area. Continued Investigation of the area by several Bigfoot Research groups continues.

12. 112-12 - Spanish River, May 3, 2012- 2 Tracks found by canoeists at portage. Digital photos submitted.

13. 134-12 - North of Hanmer- April 2012 -Witnesses observe a sasquatch sitting on a log next to a swamp, as they are driving, and approaching the swamp. As they open the car doors, it growls, they close the doors, it stands up and leaves.

14 135-12 - NW of Sudbury, Paradise Lake west of Wolf Lake, 2012 Prints found by a couple in a swampy area.

17. 136-12 - , West of Estaire, north of Killarney, near Big Trout Lake, , April 2012 – A backcountry hiker, came face to face (several feet), and made eye contact with a sasquatch for several minutes, then the sasquatch turned and walked away. He gives a detailed description.

18. 137-12 - North Of Hanmer, - before April 2012 – Rock throwing. This was the third encounter that witnesses related. It happened sometime before their sighting. They were fishing after dark and had large boulders thrown in the lake. There is only one trail in here, so no chance of a hoax or prank by others. As they drove away, they came across a log that had been placed across the trail. It was not there a few hours earlier and was carried in, as there were no large trees in the vicinity, or drag marks. This spooked them as their escape was deliberately blocked.

19. 2012- North Of Capreol, Two veteran hunters experience a terrifying encounter with a Sasquatch while at a hunting cabin. Pounding on cabin, screaming and pacing around outside of the cabin at night. They had been going there for over 20 years. Left and haven't returned. Investigations are ongoing in the area.

North Bay Area

1. October 2015 - A Sasquatch spooked horses and riders during a trail ride in North Bay, Nipissing District. The encounter left the riders startled, and they reported seeing a large, dark figure in the woods.

2. 2015 - Reports of vocalizations and prints were noted in Corbeil, near North Bay. Investigators took an interest in the area, collecting samples for further analysis.

3. 2014 - A photo captured near Deschesnay Falls showed a face appearing to peek through the trees, raising questions about the creature's identity.

4. 2014 - Red eyes were reportedly seen peeking from behind a tree on McConnell Lake Road, causing unease among hikers who felt they were being watched.

5. 2015 - Tree snaps were reported in Larder Lake, NE Cochrane District, indicating possible Sasquatch activity in the vicinity.

9. 176-14-B-Bassy Lake, Nipissing District-Trapper sees “stump”, gets up and run off.

10. 170-10-NE Nipissing District, near North Bay-Summer 2010-Witness, is out hunting with his father when they see a large sasquatch

11. 2013 - A woman reported unusual high-pitched sounds near North Bay, drawing attention to the area's mysterious activity.

Temagami Area

1. 2017-Present (Class A-B) - A hunting family has had multiple encounters with a possible Bigfoot during their yearly hunting trips in West Temagami, sharing detailed accounts of sightings, prints and sounds. Main long-term investigation area for Ontario Bigfoot.

2. 2009 (Class A) - A couple saw and photographed a Bigfoot at a remote cabin in Temagami, providing intriguing visual evidence that continues to be analyzed by researchers.

3. 2014 - Sounds and screams were reported at Rabbit Lake, NE Timiskaming District, adding to the growing list of Sasquatch encounters in the area.

4. 185-14-Wilson Lake, near Temagami, Timiskaming District-2014-Vocals

5. Old Yellow Top, In 1906, miners in Cobalt, Ontario, saw an 8-foot creature with dark hair and a yellow patch on its head. In 1923, settlers saw it near cattle. A 1947 school bus sighting and a 1970 mine worker encounter furthered the legend of the Yellow Top Bigfoot roaming the area.

6. 102-11 - Lake Temagami, July 22, 2011 - Growling & screaming sounds. Phone interview conducted.

Cochrane Area

1. October 1992 (Class A) - A nighttime sighting by a policeman on the Trans-Canada Highway, approximately 100 miles west of Cochrane, led to a formal report about the encounter.

2. 2015 - A Sasquatch was reportedly caught in the headlights in South Porcupine, ON, as it crossed the road, drawing attention from residents.

3. 204-??-South Porcupine, ON Cochrane District-Sasquatch caught in headlights.

4. 203-62-South Porcupine, ON Cochrane District-Aug 1961-Sasquatch parts raspberry canes, and peaks through.

5. 155-13-Cochrane District, NW of Moosenee-Spring 2013- Hunters see four male sasquatches, leave water in a single file between Moosenee and Kashachewan. They are waiting for the witness to be comfortable to talk.

6. 195-15- Larder Lake-NE Cochrane District-2012-Tree Snaps.

7. 129-12 - NE of Iroquois Falls Oct. 2012 - Scream heard by two moose hunters in response to a cow moose call, followed by loud branch cracking, an hour after sunset.

Brant & Hamilton Areas

1. August 2015 - Footprints were discovered near Whiteman’s Creek in Brant, Central Counties, prompting local researchers to investigate further.

2. February 2013 - Three Water Treatment Plant workers observed a Sasquatch crossing the road near the 6 Nations Reserve in Brantford, sparking further interest in local sightings.

Thunder Bay Area

1. August 2005 (Class B) - Boaters reported having rocks possibly thrown at them while travelling north of Thunder Bay, leading to concerns about potential Sasquatch behaviour in the area.

2. December 1958 (Class B) - Possible tracks were found crossing a snowy field in Thunder Bay, contributing to the area's lore surrounding Sasquatch activity.

3. 2014 - Vocalizations were reported at Whitesand River, Thunder Bay Region, prompting further investigation into the sounds.

4. 141-12-West of Thunder Bay-Tree snaps and scat. A member was walking through his father's property when he came across some tree snaps, at about 7ft up. Nearby was some scat that he did not recognize.

Sault Ste. Marie Area -Algoma area

1. August 2004 (Class B) - Campers reported possible whistles heard north of Sault Ste. Marie during the night, adding to the area's growing Sasquatch encounters.

2. September 2004 (Class B) - A family described possible rock-throwing incidents while fishing in Lake Superior Provincial Park, heightening awareness of Sasquatch activity.

3. 168-14-Algoma District, Sault Ste. Marie-(Feb. 29, 2014)-Witness sees blue eyeshine across road, hears snaps & answering snaps outside house

4. 161-14-Searchmount north of Sault-Summer 2013-Activity being investigated after 2014 snow melt.

5.109-11 - Old Woman Bay, south of Wawa – 8 March 2011. Tracks found in snow by OS member, during investigation of a road crossing sighting.

6. 182-15-Elliot Lake - June 3, 2008 - Sighting reported.

7. 168-14 - Algoma District, Sault Ste. Marie - (Feb. 29, 2014) - Witness sees blue eyeshine across the road, hears snaps & answering snaps outside the house.

Durham County

1. July 13, 2013 - A family and friends off-roading on trails became stuck in mud when they heard knocking and growling nearby, prompting a quick retreat from the area.

2. January 2014 - Prints were found in the snow crossing a field in Lanark County, leading local investigators to consider Sasquatch as a possibility.

Eastern Ontario

1. October 2003 (Class A) - A Toronto Police Officer hunting moose reported a close encounter that left him shaken and questioning what he had seen.

2. December 2004 (Class A) - A pre-dawn road crossing sighting was reported by a trucker, 40 miles west of Toronto, who described a large figure crossing the road in front of him.

3. December 2006 (Class A) - A roadside sighting was reported by a father and son north of Brockville, who observed a large creature moving through the trees.

Central Counties

  1. August 1995 - Strange vocalizations reported in the Markdale area.

  2. 202-15-Awenda Provincial Park, Penetanguishene - October 2015 - Creature seen on a park trail.

  3. 198-15-Whiteman’s Creek, Brant - August 2015 - Footprints near river.

  4. 197-95-Arrowhead Provincial Park - 1995 - Heavy footsteps around a tent.

  5. 192-00-Arrowhead Provincial Park - 2000 - Large rock thrown at campers.

  6. 171-14-Haliburton County, west of Carnarvon - Ongoing activity noticed by residents.

  7. 163-13-Hastings County, near Tweed - July 2013 - Witness saw a huge ape-like figure on a trail.

  8. 162-14-Lanark County - January 2014 - Prints found in snow-crossing field.

Parry Sound District

  1. 193-78-Tiny, Parry Sound District - 1978 - Two workers observe Sasquatch looking through the window of ORF Pilot plant.

  2. 187-15-Bear Lake, Parry Sound District - 2014 - Vocals heard.

  3. Pre-2010?- Naiscoot Lake- A Man walking down railway tracks beside the West end of the lake sees a large dark Bigfoot on the tracks ahead of him walking towards him.

  4. 2024- October 21st, 9:30 pm - Naiscoot Lake Island Campsite. Unnerving Vocalizations are heard by two hunters. LINK

  1. 191-15-Grand Bend - 2015 - Screams heard.

  2. 188-15-Woodstock - 2015 - Footprint found.

  3. 153-13-Brant County, near 6 Nations Reserve, Brantford - February 2013 - Three Water Treatment Plant workers observe Sasquatch crossing the road.

  4. 154-13-Brant County, Saint George, 2 miles north of Brantford - No date - Older lady terrified by Sasquatch sighting.

Southeast Counties

  1. 190-15-Lanark - 2013 - Prints found.

  2. 189-13-Lanark - 2013 - Sighting reported.

Huron County

  1. 166-87-Huron County, south of Exeter - August 1987 - Witness saw Sasquatch walk out of a cornfield, cross the road, and return into the cornfield.

Huntsville

  1. 164-14-Huntsville - July 2010? - Witness had a daylight sighting.

Timmins Region

  1. 158-13-Southwest of Timmins - Fall 2012? - Hunter heard a loud growl before sunrise and later had a daylight sighting.

  2. 2011 -Hwy 101 between Wawa and Timmins west of Hwy 144, Driver has night time incident with a large dark very tall Bigfoot crossing the road at 2:30 am.

Simcoe County

  1. 156-13-New Tecumseh - November 12, 2013 - Distinct and unusual vocalizations heard after midnight.

Niagara County

  1. 152-13-Niagara County - August 21, 2013 - Prints found on the shore of Lake Gibson in Thorold, at the south end of St. Catherines.

Lennox-Addington County

  1. 149-13-Puzzle Lake - July 28, 2013 - A large boulder was thrown into water near a witness kayaking.

Durham County

  1. 148-13-Near town of Raglan (north of Oshawa) - July 13, 2013 - Family and friends off-roading heard knocking and growling after becoming stuck in mud.

  2. 142-13-Kawartha Lakes - Ongoing activity, prints found. Investigators spent a day and night with the family and took photos of prints.

  3. 139-12-South of Sunderland - Tracks found in a marsh.

Hastings County

  1. 147-88-Near Foxboro - July 1988 - A 10-year-old child and others saw Sasquatch press large hands on the side of their camper tent and heard sounds before it landed on the roof and ran off into the woods.

Halton County

  1. 144-13-Burns Conservation Area - March 30, 2013 - A man and his two children found a 15-16" track in mud while hiking.
